Module Summary

Bringing Clarity and Structure to Your D&I Strategy

In this section, we introduced you to the Logic Model—a powerful, structured framework for designing, implementing, and evaluating effective Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) strategies. Drawing on the well-established Kellogg Logic Model, we explored how to apply its components to the unique context of organisational inclusion work.

We began with the Impact Statement, which defines the long-term change your D&I efforts are aiming to create. This is your strategic vision—the inspiring, future-oriented outcome that sets the direction for your entire strategy.

Next, we examined Outcomes, the measurable shifts in behaviours, knowledge, systems, or workplace culture that must occur to realise your desired impact. Outcomes form the essential bridge between aspiration and action, helping you track real progress over time.

Finally, we covered Outputs—the specific, tangible deliverables your organisation will produce as a direct result of your activities. These include training sessions, resource materials, new policies, or other concrete efforts designed to drive outcomes.

Together, these elements provide a clear, logical foundation for strategic planning in D&I. They help transform good intentions into actionable steps and measurable progress. In the next module, we’ll continue by exploring how to define the Activities that will generate your outputs—and ultimately bring your strategy to life.
