Welcome to Module 3: Designing an Effective D&I Strategy
In this module, we move into one of the most critical stages of your Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) journey—strategy design. A well-crafted strategy not only provides direction but also ensures that your D&I efforts are intentional, measurable, and aligned with your organisation’s broader mission and values.
To support you in this process, we introduce the Logic Model, a widely respected strategic framework used to plan, implement, and evaluate change initiatives. At Include Consulting, we recommend this model for structuring your D&I strategy because it helps clarify your goals, chart your path, and evaluate progress with purpose.
This module focuses on the first three components of the Logic Model:
- Impact – We guide you through crafting a clear, long-term vision for the kind of inclusive culture and systemic change your organisation aspires to achieve over time.
- Outcomes – You’ll learn how to identify short-, medium-, and long-term changes in attitudes, behaviours, practices, or systems that indicate progress toward your impact.
- Outputs – We help you define the specific activities, programs, and interventions you will deliver—such as training sessions, policy updates, or leadership commitments—that drive the desired outcomes.
By the end of this module, you’ll have the strategic foundation to build a focused, effective D&I strategy aligned to measurable goals.
